Privacy Policy – XIT:
XIT-cross information technologies GmbH, hereinafter briefly "XIT", takes protection of the personal data of your users very seriously and strictly complies with the rules of the currently applicable data privacy law. The collected data is also protected according to the best options by technical and organisational measures in our IT safety policy. We consider it our obligation to offer you a form of internet use that respects the protection of your privacy and your right to informational self-determination. We generally only collect data for person-related processing and use if you voluntarily decide to enter the data and/or expressly declare your consent. In such cases, you thereby accept the usage provisions stipulated in this privacy policy or, if applicable, in the specific registration for one of our services (e.g. registrations for events). If you provide any personal data to us on your own, we shall not process such data beyond the scope permitted by (data privacy) law or specified in your declaration of consent. Beyond this, we shall only pass on your data if you have consented to this or if we are required to do so by law, authority or court order.
This declaration is to provide you with an overview of how we ensure this production and what type of data will be collected for what purpose.
I. Safety
XIT will store your data safely and take technical as well as organisational measures in order to protect your data from loss, abuse or changes. Contracting partners of XIT who have access to your data under limitation of the provisions of the applicable data privacy law in order to render services to you in the name of XIT will be contractually obligated to keep such information secret and to not process them for any other purpose. In some cases, it will be necessary for us to pass on your requests to companies affiliated with XIT within XIT group. In these cases, your data will also be treated confidentially and processed in the scope of the currently applicable data privacy law.
II. Automated data processing on our website
When you visit our website, certain data will be automatically saved for the purpose of system administration, for statistical or backup purposes. These are the name of your internet service provider, potentially your IP address, the version of your browser software, the operating system of your computer used for access, the website from which you visit us, the websites you visited on our offer and any search terms that you used to find our website. These automatically collected data may permit conclusions on a specific visitor. Such data are only used anonymously. Further information can be found in the item "Legal note on Google Analytics".
III. Services subject to registration – events
If you want to use any offers provided on the website (e.g. registration for events), we may need further information from you to render these services.
For this, you will have to provide us, for example, your name, email address and other information (address, phone number, etc.), which will then enable us, e.g., to check that you are, e.g., the owner of the indicated email address, or that its owner consents to receiving the respective services, in order to render the desired services for you accordingly.
The data named is personal data, i.e. data that may, in short, permit determination of your identity or that will clearly identify you as a person. Generally, use of our free-access online offer as such is, of course, also possible for you without wholly or partially disclosing your identity.
Furthermore, you may also submit any further data to us in the scope of using services - beyond the data required for rendering the services (e.g.: industry, profession, job, date of birth, etc.) - on a voluntary basis - e.g. in the corresponding form fields. We shall use such data for demand-oriented design of our offers, product information for advertising, customer care or a purpose specifically and explicitly named in the registration form.
IV. Cookies
Our website uses cookies in several locations. They are used to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and safe. Cookies are small text files that are filed on your computer and that your browser saves. You may prevent installation of the cookies by a corresponding setting and/or poss. by add-ons for your browser software; however, please note that you may be unable to fully use all functions of this website in that case. Cookies will not cause any damage to your computer and contain no viruses. We do not save any personal data in connection with cookies.
V. Legal note on Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics also uses "cookies", which are text files that are saved on your computer and that permit analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website (including your IP address) will be transferred to a server of Google in the USA and saved there. Google shall use this information in order to evaluate your use of the website in order to compile reports on the activities of the websites for the operator and in order to render further services connected to use of the website and internet use. Google may also transfer the information to third parties if this is required by law or where third parties process these data on the order of Google. In no case will Google combine your IP address with any other data of Google. You may prevent installation of the cookies by a corresponding setting for your browser software; please note that you may be unable to fully use all functions of this website in that case. By using this website, you agree to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner described above and for the purpose named.
VI. Use of Social Media plugins
Our website may use social plugins ("Plugins") from the social networks LinkedIn and XING. These services are offered by the companies LinkedIn Inc. and XING SE ("Providers").
In order to increase protection of your data when you visit our website, the Plugins are integrated into the website with the "2-click solution". This integration ensures that no connection to the Providers' servers is automatically established when you call a page of our website that contains such a Plugin. Only when you activate the Plugins by clicking the share button and thus grant your consent for data transmission will your browser directly connect to the servers of the Providers. The contents of the respective Plugin are then directly submitted to your browser by the associated Provider and integrated into the website.
By integration of the Plugins, the Provider will receive the information that you have called the corresponding page of our website. If you are logged in with your user account at LinkedIn or XING while visiting our website, the Provider may assign the visit to your user account. When you interact with the Plugins, e.g. by pushing the "Share" button, the corresponding information is submitted by your browser directly to the Provider and saved there.
For the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of the data by Facebook or Twitter as well as your rights and setting options for this to protect your privacy, see the data privacy notes on the Providers:

Please note that we may continue to process your data even after your objection to data processing at the specified required legal scope, provided that the purpose is justified by legal requirements.
Furthermore, the objection against further use of the data will mean that you may be unable to receive the services previously received anymore and that rendering of the respective service by us to you may be ceased immediately. Your personal data shall be deleted without delay in this context and shall not be kept anymore in our inventory.
